Empowering the Next Generation: Inside the Inaugural HKCA Mentorship Program 2026

29/5/2026

Transitioning from university to the professional world is a major milestone, but a chiropractor's education doesn't stop at graduation. To help bridge the gap in clinical and philosophical knowledge beyond university training, the Hong Kong Chiropractic Association (HKCA) has launched its first-ever Mentorship Program in 2026.

The Mission: Bridging the Knowledge Gap

The program is designed specifically to support new graduates as they navigate their early careers. By connecting them with seasoned veterans, the HKCA aims to provide invaluable real-world insights, practical skills, and philosophical guidance that go far beyond the classroom.

How It Works

The structure of the mentorship is designed to be highly effective yet accommodating to the busy schedules of practicing chiropractors:

  • The Pairings: Early-career chiropractors (≤5 years of experience, open to all HK registered practitioners) are matched with experienced HKCA members who bring 10+ years of clinical expertise to the table.
  • The Timeline: The core mentorship runs for six months, spanning from June to November.
  • The Format: To ensure the partnerships are as productive as possible, the meet-ups are flexible and self-organized. This allows mentors and mentees to tailor their sessions to their specific learning goals and schedules.

A Stellar Kickoff

The program officially launched on May 29, 2026, with a highly successful welcome reception that set a collaborative and inspiring tone for the months ahead. We are thrilled to celebrate our first cohort, which features 10 dedicated mentees who are already diving into their mentorship journeys.

Looking Ahead

As our pairs are currently in the middle of their six months of collaborative learning, the HKCA is already looking forward to the closing graduation event this November. It will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the growth, milestones, and achievements of our first cohort.
