Giving Back: HKCA Brings Chiropractic Care to Underprivileged Elderly

30/5/2026

Community Outreach Initiative

At HKCA, our commitment to health extends beyond the clinic and into the community. On 30 May 2026, we proudly participated in a mobile clinic organized by the Elderly Healthcare Foundation ("老有所醫"慈善基金). This initiative aimed to provide essential chiropractic care to those who need it most.

Providing Care to Seniors

Three dedicated HKCA members—Dr. Winkie Chan, Dr. Derek Wong, and Dr. Fabien Leong—provided essential chiropractic outreach services to 30 underprivileged seniors aged 65 and above. The event not only offered accessible pain management care to low-income residents but also raised vital awareness about spinal health.

Engaging with Community Leaders

A special highlight was HKCA President Dr. Leonard Wong exchanging insights with the Guest of Honour, Dr. Ko Wing-man (former Secretary for Food and Health), on the current challenges and future directions of the chiropractic profession in Hong Kong. This dialogue is crucial for fostering collaboration and understanding between healthcare providers and policymakers.

Through initiatives like this, HKCA continues to demonstrate its dedication to improving the health and well-being of our community. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of our seniors.
