脊科治療安全嗎？ |

|
由手療矯正所引發惡性反應的機會率非常低，由專業脊醫進行的手療矯正術極之安全，而一般的副作用多屬生理機能的正常反應，有五成的病者會出現頭痛、疲倦、及被治療部份痛症稍為擴張等。研究指出，這些均屬能預期及並無危險的自然反應。（Barrett AJ et al. 2000, Senstad O et al. 1997, Leboeuf-Yde et al. 1997）.
用脊科治療時，頸椎矯正有可能發生腦血管意外，腰椎矯正可發生馬尾縱合症。據有關文獻顯示；因矯正治療而產生腦血管意外，為每一千萬個中有五至十個，而這五至十個中有一半是有生命危險的，產生馬尾縱合症為每一億個中有一個。（Hurwitz EL et al. 1996, Shekelle P 1994）.相對於因吃消炎藥而產生腸胃出
血致死亡，及做腰部手術而死亡，其它治療腰、背痛的療法低於前者200倍，低於後者800倍。（Gabriel SE et al. 1991, Dabbs V et al 1995, Deyo RA et al 1992, Malter AD et al. 1998）. |
